National Rock Star Custodian Award
On February 23, 2023, Leroy Harper was recognized as the National Rock Star Custodian for 2022.
Students meet him in the halls with signs and a few well-chosen words, showing the 9 traits of the Rock Star program as he made his way to the auditorium at Hickory High School.
The community of Chesapeake City Schools voted for Leroy Harper and out of the over 100,000 nationwide votes that were cast for the 5 finalists, they gave 42, 198 of them for Leroy.
